Komitor Healing Method, Inc. (KHM) / Healing Touch for Animals® (HTA) is a combination of bio-field and energy-medicine modalities, which combine philosophies, techniques and applications to promote balance, healing and wholeness. The techniques taught through the Healing Touch for Animals® Program give effective tools to assist animals with their health and well-being.
Carol Komitor founded Komitor Healing Method, Inc. / Healing Touch for Animals® (KHM/HTA) in 1996. As a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner and Instructor, Certified Massage Therapist and Certified Hospital Based Massage Therapist, Equine Sports Massage Therapist and Healing Touch for Animals® Certified Practitioner, Carol Komitor has witnessed the powerful, often dramatic effects of energy-medicine on humans and animals. Carol’s private practice provides opportunities to work with both.
Her 13-year background as a veterinary technician and a Certified Healing Touch Instructor inspired her to develop energy-medicine techniques for animals. Carol’s passion brought about a teaching that offers a cooperative model that bridges holistic animal healthcare with traditional veterinary medicine.
The experience of working with world-class trainers, veterinarians, animal shelters and her private clients, Carol formulated the curriculum for the multi-level energy-medicine program, Healing Touch for Animals®. In 2005, HTA launched the opportunity for its practitioners to become certified as a Healing Touch for Animals® Certified Practitioner (HTACP).
The Healing Touch for Animals® Techniques being taught were created and cultivated by Carol through study, practice and experiential knowledge. She has combined her animal knowledge and experience with energy healing through her studies with Healing Touch, CranioSacral Therapy, Reiki, Light Body, aroma therapy, sound therapy, massage and private practice in the development of HTA.
Healing Touch for Animals® has been approved by The American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB), Registry of Approved Continuing Education (RACE) committee as a provider for CE’s to veterinarians and veterinary technicians across the country.
Since the first workshop in 1996, HTA has grown and is now being taught throughout the United States, in Canada, and abroad.
