Is Independent Certification Necessary?
- Yes, The National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) mandates independent certification in order to maintain autonomy.
- The National Organization for Competency Assurance (NOCA) is the leader in setting quality standards for accrediting programs. Its accreditation body, the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) accredits certification organizations complying with its Standards. As a member of the NOCA, it is EMC's goal to be nationally accredited with the NCCA.
A credential can:
- Generate brand recognition.
- Create demand for a program's practitioners.
- Enhance the program's credibility or prestige.
- Create a standard of training in the field.
- Ensure that certified individuals are able to perform as expected.
Why should you credential your program?
- You boost the value of your program for your members.

- You avoid regulation or obtain recognition from regulatory bodies.

Minimum program requirements:
- 100 training hours
- 100 practitioner hours (documented)
